Meet the Staff
Jason and Lisa Huebner
Jason and Lisa have served Emporia State’s Christian Challenge for 20 years. Jason has a passion for the Bible to guide students closer to Jesus for the rest of their lives. Jason is the director of Christian Challenge and focuses his time on Bible teaching, mentoring staff, and discipling students. Jason has a masters degree in divinity. Lisa keeps deeply involved with mentoring women, paying attention to details, and organizing events. Jason loves loud music, coffee in all its forms, and chocolate chip cookies. Lisa enjoys thrifting, chasing her teenagers, coffee, and making things beautiful, a hobby she also holds as a talent.
Genevieve Lowery
Genevieve has worked with Christian Challenge for four years. She joined full-time staff immediately after graduating from Emporia State with her dual bachelor's degrees in Spanish and Communication. Genevieve has held many different roles in Challenge but currently focuses her time on mentoring women, training student leaders, developing publicity, and re-uniting alumni. She loves discovering abandoned buildings, learning new languages, and hosting vibey get-togethers.
Katie Webb
Katie joined Challenge staff after graduating from Emporia State University in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance. Originally moving toward a career in physical therapy, Katie switched plans as she felt a stronger and stronger call toward ministry. Katie focuses her time on welcoming international students, mentoring women, and managing social media. Katie loves hobbies and has many to prove it. A few of her favorites include travelling to different countries, baking new foods, and painting.
Ian Coleman-Hull
Ian joined Challenge staff in 2024. He holds a degree in Statistics and a minor in Philosophy from Emporia State University. Ian focuses his time on training and encouraging student small group leaders as well as mentoring men and developing new ideas. He has a passion and talent for authenticity and real connection. Ian enjoys graphs, being active, and deep conversations.
Joseph Onassa
Joseph is entering his first year on staff with Christian Challenge and will be serving with the freshmen ministry. He is currently in his final year of studying Business Administration. For the past two years, Joseph has been actively involved in ministry to freshmen, where he discovered a passion for mentoring and building relationships with students. He has a gift for making everyone feel welcome and wanted and a talent for bringing energy and joy wherever he goes. He enjoys connecting over coffee and loves playing soccer and pickleball in his free time.
Zoe Dameron
Zoe is entering into her first year on staff with Christian Challenge. The Challenge community and ministry encouraged and supported her greatly in her faith journey throughout college and she is excited to continue investing in what the Lord is doing at Emporia State University. Zoe is highly gifted in building deep relationships, loving people where they are at, and leading others in worshipping the Lord. Her role on staff will focus on leading the student worship team, discipling women, and caring for international students. She loves drinking coffee, lifting weights, and spontaneous adventures with friends!
